" If you have a Sky + box set up with twin LNB feeds from a successful SKY installation and are fed up of paying over the top to SKY this is the box for you” " I have been after one of these for a long time and finally got it last week from .... I love it. I also have a Humax Foxsat HD box also which will now be relegated to the bedroom tv” K. Campbell |

The picture and recording quality is excellent. The box has a USB port so you can copy your saved shows onto a hard disc or a USB pen. Like SKY+ you need to have 2 inputs from your dish to properly make use of the recording functions. |

With the Humax digital recorder you can record 2 channels and watch a third live channel at the same time. Recordings can be made in High Definition. You can record in either standard definition or high definition if a programme is broadcast in HD. The 8 days electronic programme guide will allow you to view TV listings in advance to help you plan your viewing. With the picture-in-text you can also continue viewing TV in an inset box whilst accessing teletext information.
If you want to connect a compatible DVD player or digital box/adapter via these sockets the result will provide better picture quality. The scart sockets can accept picture signals in high quality RGB format. A basic scart lead is included but a better quality scart cable will improve sound and picture quality. Cables vary in price because they are built to different standards with better cables using thicker wiring, more insulation etc to keep interference to a minimum, so it's worth investing in a high quality lead for this reason. To get Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS from a DVD player you will need to connect it to a surround sound amplifier or TV with an optical or coaxial digital audio lead.
There is a remote control included in the package which enables you to operate your equipment from a remote handset, but a satellite dish is not included and will be required to use this product to it's full capability. |
